Discovery call
A 20-minute call about your story, your season and the kind of light you love. We map two or three realistic locations before you commit to anything.
In brief
Editorial discipline, mountain-guide logistics. We plan the access, the permits and the light — you just have to show up and say yes.

I started photographing weddings in the Dolomites twelve years ago, after a decade working as an editorial photographer for outdoor and travel publications. That background shaped how I work: I read light and terrain the way a mountain guide reads weather, and I plan every celebration around the hour the valley turns gold.
Since then I've documented more than 240 weddings, elopements and proposals across every season — from July sunrise ceremonies at Lago di Braies to intimate January vow exchanges in the snow above Val di Funes. Each one taught me something about how a landscape this dramatic can hold a quiet, personal moment without overwhelming it.
My approach is editorial rather than staged: I direct enough to protect the light and the timeline, then step back. The mountains do the rest.
The technical side matters more here than in a hotel ballroom. Altitude changes exposure faster than most couples expect, cable cars run to a schedule that doesn't wait for a first look, and a storm rolling in over the Odle group can end a session in twenty minutes. I carry backup bodies, weather-sealed glass and a second card in every slot, but the real preparation happens weeks earlier — scouting the exact ridge, checking the season's sunset azimuth, and building a timeline with enough slack that a delayed cable car doesn't cost you the light.
I still shoot every wedding myself. No handoff to an associate you've never met, no second brand behind the one you booked — the person who answers your first email is the person standing next to you on the mountain.
If we're a good fit, it's usually because you'd rather spend your planning calls talking about a sunrise hike or a boat crossing than a seating chart. I work best with couples who see the location as part of the story, not just a backdrop for it.

A private route sheet with timings, backup weather plans, permit requirements and transfer logistics — built around your actual date, not a template.

We arrive early to check light and access. Direction is minimal and specific: enough to protect the moment, never enough to stage it.

A first-look gallery within 72 hours for sharing, the full edited collection within 6 weeks, and a private online gallery your families can order prints from.
“We had exactly ninety minutes of good light and a boat to ourselves. Our photographer had a shot list for the weather we actually got, not the one we'd hoped for. The photos still make our families cry.”
“Three days of coverage, four locations, one very complicated family. Nothing felt rushed. Every editorial felt like it belonged in a magazine, not a stock photo.”
“Noah proposed at sunrise on a ridge I didn't know existed until I saw the photos. The planning email six weeks earlier thought of every detail we hadn't.”
“Local, but our photographer still found us a meadow we'd never seen in twenty years of summers here. That's the difference between a photographer and someone who just shows up with a camera.”
“We eloped with two witnesses and a drone permit we didn't know we needed until the team sorted it. Everything about the day felt handled.”
“Fifteen years married and we still hadn't done a proper session. The vow renewal photos are the ones now framed in our hallway, not our wedding album.”
Every booking is led personally. For full-day luxury weddings, a second photographer joins to cover both wide editorial shots and close candid moments simultaneously.
We hold a small network of trusted Dolomites-based photographers who share the same planning process, and we'd introduce you well in advance rather than leave you without cover.
Yes — planning and on-the-day communication run in English, Italian or German, whichever is easiest for you and your guests.
Every booking ships with a weather-alternate plan agreed in advance — a different hour, a lower-altitude location, or a rescheduled golden-hour session the next morning if your itinerary allows it.
For any location outside our regular rotation, we scout in person or study recent seasonal conditions before your date is confirmed, so timing and access advice on the day is never a guess.
Yes — two camera bodies, backup lenses and redundant memory cards on every booking, plus a second photographer on full-day weddings so no single point of failure can cost you a moment.
Tell us your date and vision — we'll handle the rest, and reply personally within one business day.
