Lead Photographer & Founder

I started photographing weddings in the Dolomites twelve years ago, after a decade working as an editorial photographer for outdoor and travel publications. That background shaped how I work: I read light and terrain the way a mountain guide reads weather, and I plan every celebration around the hour the valley turns gold.

Since then I've documented more than 240 weddings, elopements and proposals across every season — from July sunrise ceremonies at Lago di Braies to intimate January vow exchanges in the snow above Val di Funes. Each one taught me something about how a landscape this dramatic can hold a quiet, personal moment without overwhelming it.

My approach is editorial rather than staged: I direct enough to protect the light and the timeline, then step back. The mountains do the rest.

The technical side matters more here than in a hotel ballroom. Altitude changes exposure faster than most couples expect, cable cars run to a schedule that doesn't wait for a first look, and a storm rolling in over the Odle group can end a session in twenty minutes. I carry backup bodies, weather-sealed glass and a second card in every slot, but the real preparation happens weeks earlier — scouting the exact ridge, checking the season's sunset azimuth, and building a timeline with enough slack that a delayed cable car doesn't cost you the light.

I still shoot every wedding myself. No handoff to an associate you've never met, no second brand behind the one you booked — the person who answers your first email is the person standing next to you on the mountain.

If we're a good fit, it's usually because you'd rather spend your planning calls talking about a sunrise hike or a boat crossing than a seating chart. I work best with couples who see the location as part of the story, not just a backdrop for it.

What couples say

“We had exactly ninety minutes of good light and a boat to ourselves. Our photographer had a shot list for the weather we actually got, not the one we'd hoped for. The photos still make our families cry.”
Sarah & Mark — Lago di Braies
“Three days of coverage, four locations, one very complicated family. Nothing felt rushed. Every editorial felt like it belonged in a magazine, not a stock photo.”
Charlotte & James — Cortina d'Ampezzo
“Noah proposed at sunrise on a ridge I didn't know existed until I saw the photos. The planning email six weeks earlier thought of every detail we hadn't.”
Freya & Noah — Seceda

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should we book a Dolomites wedding photographer?

For peak season (July–September) dates, 8–12 months ahead. For shoulder-season elopements, 3–6 months is usually enough.

Do you only shoot in the locations listed on this site?

These are our most-requested locations, but we regularly scout new spots on request if you have somewhere specific in mind.

Can you help plan the logistics, not just take the photos?

Yes — permits, cable car timing, weather backups and access logistics are built into every package, not sold separately.
